Science & Engineering Practices (SEP) Circus Professional Learning

Are you still trying to understand the SEPs; when and how they are incorporated into the learning experience? California Academy of Sciences developed a 50-minute learning experience to guide educators through their 3-dimensional understanding of the science standards.

Participants visit hands-on stations with sample activities and try to identify the main practice highlighted in each one. Group discussion draws out key messages such as the interconnection of the practices and the idea of intentionality.
