The Essential Elements (EEs) are the bridge between grade level content standards to academic expectations for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. EEs are available in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science for Kindergarten through Grade 12. EEs represent both tested content and content relevant for instruction. EEs are reduced in depth, breadth, and complexity and include linkage levels (accessibility) in assessed grades.
