Calling All Environmental Literacy & Sustainability, Technology & Engineering, and Science Teachers!
PDE invites educators to participate in critical work around the proposed new ELS, T&E, and Sci standards:
1. Developing a Curriculum Framework for ELS, TE, and Science
PDE is seeking educators to assist in developing curriculum frameworks for Environmental Literacy & Sustainability, Technology & Engineering, and Science – based upon the draft standards approved by the State Board on January 13, 2022, and awaiting final approval via the regulatory process.
A three-day session is scheduled for June 14, 15, 16, 2022, at Harrisburg PaTTAN. Participants will be reimbursed for travel, meals, and lodging expenses. There are no stipends. Act 48 hours are available. An application to participate is available; the deadline to submit an application is April 22, 2022.

2. Identifying and Selecting Resources to Support the Proposed ELS, TE, and Science Standards.
PDE will convene PA educator teams to identify and compile high quality curricular resources to support the teaching of Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability, and Science. All materials will be aligned to the proposed PA Standards for Environmental Literacy & Sustainability, Technology & Engineering, and Science. Participants will be reimbursed for travel, meals, and lodging expenses as applicable. Act 48 credit will be available. Stipends are NOT available for participants.
