    This web-based practice can be used as a review for students or for the students to investigate find their own definitions for the brain. The students can click on parts of the brain and will be given a definition. After they learn about the parts of the brain, they can answer questions to a few scenarios with patients that have had head trauma.

    Duration

    20 minutes

    Procedure

    1. Give each student a handout and make sure they put their name on it.
    2. Have students go to the website Coma; each student should have their own computer.
    3. Tell students to click on Brain Geography . This is where they will do the assignment.
    4. Students will answer questions from the website about the brain.
    5. When they are done answering questions from the worksheet, they can answer the questions to the scenarios about brain trauma. Here, students get to diagnose what part of the brain a person injured.
    6. Once students are finished, collect their papers and use your own grading scale.
