Description
Peronopsis interstricta is one of the smallest trilobites (4-5 mm in length in this image) identified from the Cambrian of North America. Although many trilobite species were thought to have excellent eyesight, this species was blind. It is likely that Peronopsis inhabited environments that were devoid of light.
Location
Author’s collection – trilobite (Cambrian Wheeler Shale, – Delta, Utah)
