How is the structure of an element related to its properties and its position on the periodic table?

Description

This inquiry based activity allows you to predict the chemical properties of an element based on its location on the table using interactive periodic tables embedded in the activity.

There are numerous interactive graphics for students to view to determine the following trends:

  • Types of orbitals
  • Atomic Radius
  • Electronegativity
