- What is a wetland?
- What is a watershed?

- A wetland is an area of land that is saturated with water.
- A watershed is an area of land that separates waters flowing to different bodies of water.
- Acceptable responses may include, but are not limited to:
- Oceans are always saltwater.
- A lake can be saltwater or freshwater.
- A lake is enclosed by land.
- Oceans are much larger than lakes.
- Both have animals and plants living in the water and on the shore.
- Oceans are home to many more species of animals and plants.
- Acceptable responses may include, but are not limited to:
- Aquafers are an important source for drinking water.
- Oceans cannot provide fresh drinking water.
- Oceans are a large food source for humans.
- Wetlands and watersheds do not directly impact the survival of humans.
