Continuum of Activities
The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.
This continuum of activities offers:
- Instructional activities designed to be integrated into planned lessons
- Questions/activities that grow in complexity
- Opportunities for differentiation for each student’s level of performance

- Scientists can now use motion detectors to help study velocity and acceleration and analyze motion. Do you recommend using a motion detector to study motion? Discuss three (3) advantages and three (3) disadvantages to support your reasoning.

- Scientist may not fully grasp the concepts that are being illustrated if a software program does all of the calculations automatically.
- Scientist is unable to perform or repeat experiments without motion detector if a computer or electricity is unavailable.
