- Student is able to describe a relationship between water and a tree within the water cycle.
Answers may include, but are not limited to:
- Trees rely on water to survive
- When precipitation occurs, the tree absorbs water
- When more water than it needs is absorbed, the tree loses the extra water through evaporation
- The evaporation then condensates and precipitates again in an ongoing cycle
- Student is able to describe a relationship between air and a lion within their ecosystem while explaining some effects this relationship has on other components within the system.
Answers may include, but are not limited to:
- Lions rely on the air to breathe
- Oxygen is needed to sustain life for many animals, including lions
- Lions produce carbon dioxide
- Plants and trees need oxygen to survive
- Plants and trees absorb and transform the air back into oxygen for the lion, or other animals to breathe
- Student can identify a relationship between a living and nonliving thing and explain how they are related to each other.
