The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

- Define motion.

- A ball is rolling down a hill and there is a stick in its path. Predict what might happen to its motion.

- Acceptable responses may include, but are not limited to: position, speed, direction, acceleration

- The stick might cause the ball to stop.

Example: A book may not be moving in relation to the desk it is on, but it is still moving in relation to the sun.
