- Rasheem just bought a new home with a rectangular backyard. He wants to fix up his yard by putting a fence around it and putting down some new sod. If the dimensions of his backyard are 80 feet by 60 feet, how much fencing and sod will he need to purchase? Show your work.
- Create a rectangle with the same area as the one shown below, but with a larger perimeter. Show your work.

- Add up all the given sides
18 + 4 + 15 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 9 = 54 - Subtract the total perimeter minus what is given to find the missing side

- Fencing – find the perimeter of the backyard
80 + 80 + 60 + 60 = 280 - Sod – find the area of the backyard
