Continuum of Activities

The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

  1. The third grade classes are having a party.  Mrs. Chen’s class has 28 students, Mr. Davidson’s class has 31, and Mrs. Peterson’s class has 29.  Mrs. Chen is in charge of buying plates.  The plates are only sold in packages of 25, 50 or 100.  Which package of plates should she buy?  Explain.
