Answer Key/Rubric

  1. x = 7.5
  1. n = 38
  1. a = 135
  1. Equation: x + 24 = 62; x = 38 students
  1. Equation: 15x = 540; x = 36 Students
  1. 16 bows; $56.00
  • Let n = number of bows
  • Equation is n = 12 or
  • 16 bows can be made from 12 feet of ribbon.
  • If each bow earns Jenna $3.50 she could make $3.50(16) = $56.00 if she sells all the bows at her craft show.
