- What is a eukaryotic cell?
- What is a prokaryotic cell?
- A lion (Panthera leo) and a tiger (Panthera tigris) are both species of cats. How are these cats similar? How are they different?
- You have three different types of muscles in your body: smooth, cardiac, and skeletal. Why do you think scientists categorized muscles in this manner? Use facts to explain your thinking.
Answer Key/Rubric
- A eukaryotic cell holds its genetic material inside of a nucleus. The nucleus is enclosed by a membrane.
- A prokaryotic cell does not have a nucleus or other organelles. Its DNA is not organized into chromosomes.
