Pennsylvania Personal Finance Challenge
The Foundation for Economic Education is hosting the Pennsylvania Personal Finance Challenge on April 17 at the Commonwealth Charter Academy Family Service Center Waterfront located at 162 East Bridge St, Homestead, PA 15120.
The competition is a great critical thinking exercise where a team of 3-4 students receives a case study of a fictitious family financial situation and must make recommendations to them as a financial planning team. The winning teams face off in a quiz bowl to determine the state champion. The state champion team will receive a banner, $2,000 scholarship to split, an all-expense paid trip to the Cleveland Federal Reserve for the national finals, and an additional $250 for the teacher.
Additionally, every participating teacher will receive a $250 stipend for the extra work required outside of their normal contractual duties
