GET WaTeR: Guiding Educators Through Watershed Teaching Resources (Face-to-Face Outdoors)

GET WaTeR (Guiding Educators Through Watershed Teaching Resources) is designed to support teachers in making the shift to learner-centered, three-dimensional standards AND ALSO to providing relevant, timely environmental education programming for students. Participants will be provided professional development and support in developing curriculum-aligned units that both utilize the Environmental Literacy Model (ELM) and incorporate a Meaningful Watershed Education Experience (MWEE). The project includes a five-day summer professional development institute and additional school-year support, to help educators of Grades K-12 develop a curricular-aligned unit using the ELM that incorporates a MWEE in their classrooms during 2021-22.

** Participants will receive field experience equipment as part of this professional development.

Duration: July 19 – July 23, 2021 – 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, and ongoing support throughout 2021-2022 school year

Location: Millersville University WETi Creek Lodge
