Virtual Earth Day Celebration: Protect the Environment for All Pennsylvanians
The Governor’s Residence is hosting a virtual Earth Day Celebration, Protect the Environment for All Pennsylvanians on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., middle and high school students are encouraged to watch the live-streamed event to learn more about all of Pennsylvania’s environmental efforts, as well as enjoy fun activities. This event will be live-streamed on both the Governor’s Residence website and Facebook.
Pennsylvania has over 2.2 million acres of lush forest, rugged mountain trails, and roaring rivers, and offers a diverse display of natural beauty and wonder that we need to protect. Earth Day is a great time to celebrate and honor all Pennsylvania’s environment has to offer. By working together, we can ensure the future success of Pennsylvania and all its citizens.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Environmental Rights Amendment to the Pennsylvania State Constitution, which guarantees citizens the right to clean air, pure water, and the preservation of the state’s natural, scenic, and historic value to the environment.
Tune in to the 2021 virtual Earth Day Celebration to learn more about the state you call home and join the conversation online by including #PAEarthDayForAll, #EarthDay2021, and #RestoreOurEarch in your social media posts!
