The Indiana Area School District is pleased to partner with the Rendell Center for Civic Engagement and the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown to conduct a virtual conversation about Civics Education in the 21st Century on February 1st from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.  

Americans’ participation in civic life is crucial to sustaining our democracy.  Join us for an evening to hear remarks from former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and his wife, the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell - Senior Judge Third Circuit of Appeals, to discuss this topic.  Also, a variety of educational leaders will serve as panelists to discuss how they are preparing students and their school systems to align their efforts to improve civics education as well as meet the requirements of Act 35.
