Continuum of Activities

The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

This continuum of activities offers:

  • Instructional activities designed to be integrated into planned lessons
  • Questions/activities that grow in complexity
  • Opportunities for differentiation for each student’s level of performance

Activities

  1. Classify the shape below in as many ways as possible.

  1. Draw a picture of a quadrilateral that is not a rhombus.
  1. Alexander started drawing the Venn diagram below to help him classify quadrilaterals.  Help Alexander complete the Venn diagram with the appropriate titles and a picture for each.

  1. Fatima asks her partner, Anderson, to draw two different quadrilaterals that are not rectangles.  Anderson draws the pictures below.  Is he correct?  Explain.
