Continuum of Activities

The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

This continuum of activities offers:

  • Instructional activities designed to be integrated into planned lessons
  • Questions/activities that grow in complexity
  • Opportunities for differentiation for each student’s level of performance

  2. Anthony bought 3 buckets containing ☐ baseballs for the batting cages.  He hit all 27 balls in the cages.  Write a number sentence to represent this situation, and then solve.
  1. Create a situation to represent the number sentence 36 ÷ ☐ = 4. Include the answer to your situation.

  2. Create a situation that can be represented by a multiplication or division number sentence to trade with a partner. Be prepared with an answer key to check your partner’s work.
