Day 2

Interviewers arrive, receive copies of related documents and are introduced to the students.   Interviewers return their interviewing rooms and students take turns being interviewed one on one for approximately 10-15 minutes.   The interviewer completes the Interview Rubric and provides constructive feedback to each student.  When all students have completed an interview, the interviewers return to the classroom and share general feedback with the group.  At that time, each student receives his/her copy of the questions and a completed interview rubric.  Each interviewer will also announce to the class who he/she would have hired from the group of students that were interviewed.   The final step for this lesson is the individual conference that occurs between the student and the teacher.

Formative Assessment

Formative assessment occurs during the discussions that happen on Day 1 as students review the Interview Packet, Interview Rubric, and Job Description.  Students can also role-play on day one and receive formative assessment feedback.
